Cambridge University Press (UK). A case of the article publication in the 1st quartile (Q1) Scopus-indexed journal in disaster medicine as a special report

At the end of 2021, our team has completed the process of publication support for an article in the journal of the English publishing house.

It was originally planned to be published in the journal Disaster Medicine and Public Health Preparedness by Cambridge University Press. After a rather strenuous process of preparing materials, submitting and subsequent reviewing, comments were received from reviewers, based on which it was necessary to make improvements on the paper. It has been reviewed twice after that and we rejection even after all from the journal.

After analyzing all the data obtained from the previous journal and the very specifics of the English publisher, as well as based on our experience with other publications, together with author to begin the process of preparing the submission to the journal Prehospital and Disaster Medicine of the same Cambridge University Press publishing house with Q1 in Scopus and an impact factor of 2.866 in the Web of Science.

Initially, a positive response was received about the publication, but with recommendations to prepare the material in the format of a special report (for special report category), immediately after receiving comments from reviewers. After the authors’ improvements based on the results of the review process, the article was again submitted and accepted for publication. The authors were asked to sign a Non-Exclusive License to Publish. During the next 3 months, we all received a final publication.
