Publication in the journal of the publisher Wolters Kluwer Health with Scopus and Web of Science indexing
The contract with the author was concluded for the publication of the article in the journal, which is indexed in the Scopus database.
As always, we started our work by analyzing the article and eliminating the initial points of criticism. After the article was finalized, I sent the author a list of specialized journals for approval. Since we had no suggestions about the quartile and percentile of the journal, I selected journals from different categories: Q1, Q2, Q3, Q4.
The author and I decided to start working with the Journal of Education and Health Promotion, which has the 3rd quartile. The journal is also indexed in the Web of Science Core Collection (ESCI at the beginning of 2023).
Many believe that it is much easier and faster to publish an article in journals of the 3rd or 4th quartile than in journals with Q1 and Q2. But, as practice shows, this is not always the case.
Looking ahead, the review process in the Journal of Education and Health Promotion was quite fast, but the publication itself had to wait about 7 months from the moment of official acceptance (this was due to a large queue of accepted articles for publication).
Thus, a month after submitting the article for review, we received comments from reviewers. The reviews were positive, but the article needed revision. By the joint efforts of the author and our team, all the comments of the reviewers were taken into account on time. Reconsideration of the revised article took almost 3 months, and after we received the long-awaited decision that the article was accepted for publication.
